SCAR- Swedish Center for Aquatic Research


SCAR aims to develop Swedish and World Aquatic Research. With the help of  a group of interested coaches, scientist, and organization’s we will try to influence the academic world to take a higher interest in aquatic development.

Who is SCAR?


SCAR is an initiative from SK Poseidon, Lund, Sweden, and built up by an advisory board with some of the top coaches in the world. SCAR is owned and organized by SK Poseidon.

How do we work?



SCAR will arrange education, conferences (WADC 2012 and 2014 is an example), create networks for scientist/coaches, create forums and inspire to create research and development. The advisory board will help create research topics that are relevant for aquatic development of today.

SCAR is part of a non-profit organization.

SCAR – Swedish Center for Aquatic Research SCAR is an integrated initiative within SK Poseidon, Lund, Sweden, and is conducted under the auspices of the club. The center is dedicated to advancing both Swedish and international research in aquatic sports and performance.

Through collaboration among coaches, researchers, and relevant organizations, SCAR seeks to promote increased academic engagement and interdisciplinary approaches to aquatic development. The initiative aims to strengthen the connection between applied practice and scientific research within the aquatic domain.

SCAR has been established with the support of an advisory board comprising leading international coaches.
