06.12.2012 Milt Nelms back in Sweden

 

Milt Nelms at WADC 2012

Milt Nelms will be in Sweden working with SCAR and the University of Lund. During Nelms last visit in May SCAR and Nelms had the opportunity to visit many of the departments of Lund University and Nelms shared his ideas.

"This is a great opportunity for SCAR to have one of the leading coaches in the world working with us on a regular basis. Milt will also be available to book for technique camps" says Thorbjörn Holmberg

Välkommna till Stadshallen, Lund 15 januari 2012 och en konferens om glädjen och utmaningen med att träna och leda kvinnliga idrottsutövare.

För alla med intresse i ledarskap och coaching, både män och kvinnor!

Ingegerd is PE teacher, PH D and Senior lecturer in Sport Sciences at Malmö University, Sweden.  She will speak about “Motor skills development, observation and training; experiences and results from research in the Bunkeflo project-promoting a healthy lifestyle”. Ingegerd will speak at Learn to Swim.

Olav Rafoss is a Norwegian physiotherapist and manual therapist, and is the founder of the concept R.O.P.E.S (Rapid and Optimal Physical Exercise in Slings). He has earlier worked as an athletic coach, physiotherapist for the Norwegian Athletics Federation. Olav has over 30 years of experience with working with motion analysis and monitoring the athlete’s functions. He has now started a project called EAS.Y (Endurance, Agility, Strength, Your level). EAS.Y is based on basic training, and the use of several remedies and equipment put together as a whole. EAS:Y principle is that it should be easy to carry, and each athletes will find their level that gives them quality in their movement. Olav will talk about: “The EAS.Y Concept-Back to Basics”
Kipp Dye is a Boston area Physical Therapist and former elite level swimmer at the University of California at Berkeley. Kipp specializes in rehabilitation of the shoulder for athletes in throwing sports and for competitive swimmers. He has also been issued a number of patents for rehabilitation equipment; including equipment for aquatic physical therapy apparatus and the widely used textured Thera-Roll. Kipp will speak about, and demonstrate, his unique clinical protocols. In addition, he will speak about the prevention of injury through healthier movements within the swimming strokes, citing planes of movement described in medical literature.

Safe and Inspiring swimming is the philosophy that Tracey Malyon – Knott has employed since establishing her swim school KnottSwim Academy. Tracey is an Aussie living in Norway for the past 10 years. KnottSwim Academy was the first swim school in Norway to establish smaller organised classes with system based programs in Learn to Swim. These programs and systems focused heavily on Quality Assurance and the Practical Development of her instructors which is one of the most important factors in achieving efficient teaching structure for children.

Norges Svömmeforbund (NSF) gir tilskudd til deltakere fra norske svømmeklubber. NSF gir kr. 1000,- i tilskudd til de 30 første som melder seg på via klubb (maks 2 pr. klubb) på delkonferansene "Competitive swimming" eller "Learn to Swim".

NSF får en oversikt fra arrangør om hvem som har meldt seg på til hvilken konferanse, og når. Det er derfor ikke nødvendig å sende inn søknad om tilskudd. For påmelding og mere informasjon se www.sweaquatics.com

Stöd från Idrottslyftet till deltagaravgiften

Simförbundet har beslutat att via Idrottslyftet bevilja 1000 kr i stöd på deltagaravgiften till World Aquatic Development Conference. Stödet ges till deltagare upp till 30 år, och varje svensk simklubb kan få stöd för en deltagare på simtränarspåret och en på simlärarspåret, totalt max två per förening. Varje förening måste själva ansöka om idrottslyftsmedlen. Detta innebär att om man vill skicka en deltagare under 30år till konferensen betalar man endast 2595kr för simtränarspåret och 995kr för simlärarspåret spåret om man anmäler innan den 1 oktober.
